Gordon Hamilton
LCBM (BTh 1963, BSM 1966)
As Gordon approached his senior year at LCBM during the summer of 1962, the plan was quite straightforward – complete his BTh degree with a major in Pastoral Studies and become a pastor in some church.
But God had other plans, he said, quoting the words from Isaiah 55:8: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord.”
During that summer, Warren Adams was hired to be the new music director at LCBM, and suddenly Gordon’s life was completely changed, as he became the first person to graduate with a Bachelor of Sacred Music degree from LCBM.
God immediately led him into crusade evangelism as a soloist and choir director of several crusades in Southern Ontario.
Three years later, Gordon was invited to be the Minister of Music at Calvary Church in Toronto, where he served in that capacity for more than 35 years.
