Janney (Kim) Lock
Tyndale (BEd 2015)
Janney’s love for dance began when she was only six years old. She dreamed of having a career in dance and began an undergraduate dance program in Florida. Unfortunately, she became ill in her first year and her illness lasted long enough to make returning to school impossible.
Around this time, a member of her church introduced her to Tyndale. She doubted if Tyndale was right for her. “I didn’t think I was good enough, but God challenged me to trust in him,” she said.
She applied and chose psychology after a recommendation from an admissions counsellor. She became fully invested in the Tyndale experience, earning scholarships and participating in student leadership. Describing her life at Tyndale, Janney said, “It was like an abundance of joy that I received.”
Janney went on to earn a BEd in 2015. She currently teaches with the York Region District School Board.
