Previous to my Deaconess training and active service in a city church, it was my great privilege to attend Toronto Bible College, where the “foundation” was laid for further training in preparation for Christian work.

One of our College mottoes, “Let the Word of God dwell in you rightly,” continues to be a blessed reality, because each day we made God’s Word the subject of prayer and study, and through it heard God’s voice speaking through us.

A deep spirit of prayerfulness was always felt throughout the College life – strengthened by the prayerful attitude of our principal and his associates, and the definite place given to it. The true value and power of prayer was known when unitedly we upheld those who had left our midst and went to the various mission fields, there to represent us in bearing the Gospel light to the millions in darkness.
