Rev. Dr. Samuel Chan
OTS (MDiv 1982)
For more than 30 years Samuel served as the Senior Pastor of Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church, a trilingual, seeker-sensitive and life-commitment ethnic church with five adult worship services every Sunday.
He has distinguished himself over the years through his pastoral work in the Association of Chinese Evangelical Ministries churches, pioneering the English Ministry and promoting healthy, balanced growth in evangelism, missions, life development, social concerns and inter-church relationships.
Samuel actively participates and promotes world missions through his association with the Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism, Great Commission Centre International (Canada), and the Breakthrough Overseas Missions.
In 2016, he was appointed to head the Pastoral and Chinese Ministry program at Tyndale, assuming a two-fold mandate of providing leadership to the current Chinese Ministry program, while helping to envision a new future for ministry preparation at Tyndale. This involved exploring an integrated approach aimed at training a new generation of intercultural ministry in the 21st century.
