Zachary served as President of the University’s undergraduate Student Association while at Tyndale.
After a six-month internship in Uganda working with Save The Mothers, he went on to complete a Master of Public Administration from Queen's University in 2016.
For a time, he held the position of Chairman on the Board of Directors of the Msenwa Foundation that works among African countries – particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo – towards empowering widows, children and youth through education, microloans, business training and other programs that cater to their needs and priorities.
He went on to work for the federal Department of Finance, dealing with international development policy focused on improving how Canadian international aid is spent.
Zachary was a founding board member of ACrossMission, an organization supporting local pastors in Tanzania that was founded by his father Howard Edwards in 2015.
