Dr. Grant A. Gordon
LCBM (BTh 1964)
After graduating from LCBM with a BTh, Grant enrolled in an MDiv at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Hamilton, in 1967; and DMin and MTh degrees at Princeton Theological Seminary, in the 1980s.
From 1967 to 1986, he was the senior pastor of three Baptist churches in Canada and an intentional interim pastor in seven churches between 1996 and 2011.
His academic career included seven years as an adjunct professor of Christian Ethics at Central Baptist Seminary (now Heritage Seminary, Cambridge, Ontario). He later served at Tyndale College & Seminary as Director of Field Education and Professor of Baptist History and Polity.
Since he retired, he has spent his time researching and writing about 18th-century church history. His published books include From Slavery to Freedom: The Life of David George, Pioneer Black Baptist Minister. Grant is a member of the Canadian Baptist Historical Society.
