Paul Wartman

OTS (BTh, MTS 1985)

Paul was already the senior pastor of Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church in St. Catharines, Ontario, when he graduated in 1985, and continued in the role afterwards, for a total of 10 years with the congregation. Before that, he ministered at Camp Mini-Yo-We in southwestern Ontario.

In 1991, Paul moved his family to Winnipeg where he established the Meeting Place and become its senior pastor. The church caught the attention of the Winnipeg media, as Sunday services targeting the unchurched swelled to 2,000 within its first decade.

A decade later, he became the president of Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, B.C., a position he held until 2006.

Over the years, he served on the Canadian MB Conference Board of Evangelism, the Board of Faith and Life, and as moderator of the Ontario MB Conference.
