General Collection
The library main reading room is located under the chapel and is accessible toward the south and east sides of the campus. The main library circulating collection is split between the ABBA Resource Centre, the main library and on campus storage locations. Interlibrary Loan is available for items not accessible locally.
The Reference collection is located beside the Circulation Desk. It consists of a wide range of reference materials including dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographies, handbooks, directories, Bible commentaries and concordances and language reference tools. This material remains in the library at all times. It is often a helpful place to begin research in order to obtain an overview of your topic. The Public Services Librarian is available to assist patrons in selecting appropriate resources. This includes hundreds of thousands of online articles, ebooks and online reference resources.
Periodicals and Ebooks
Periodical access is largely available online. The library subscribes to thousands of electronic periodicals over 150 print periodicals. Most current print subscriptions are on display in the main library reading room arranged alphabetically. Back issues of print periodicals may be requested. Locations and holdings are listed in Journal Directory.
The Library also has access to over 300,000 ebooks. Most ebooks come as part of large academic ebook subscription packages and individual titles are purchased when needed. Ebook subscriptions add important breadth to our library collections and are convenient for distance and online students.
