Update from the Chair of the Board of Governors, Steven Holmes
Following the announcement of Dr. Gary V. Nelson’s retirement in June of 2020, Aileen Van Ginkel, Governor, Chair of the Board Development Committee and Executive Committee member facilitated opportunities to hear from the various constituent groups which make up the unique fabric of the Tyndale Community. These discernment sessions took place between February 10th and 22nd and included one-hour in-person group sessions; an online survey; one-on-one phone calls; and input from the Board of Governors. Invitations to participate were sent to all Tyndale faculty, staff and students as well as constituency advisors.
The Executive Committee of the Tyndale Board of Governors met to review the thoughtful and essential feedback that was gathered and have utilized it in the creation of the job description for President and Vice Chancellor of Tyndale University College and Seminary. Thank you to all who participated for their valued feedback.
As of April 1st the President and Vice Chancellor job posting can be found on Tyndale’s website, as well as numerous academic and career websites.
Applications and nominations will be accepted until June 30, 2019.
