Dr. John Wilkinson

Dr. John Wilkinson was appointed to the position of Chancellor in 2015 and served in that capacity until 2020.

During his 25 years of service and teaching at Tyndale, Dr. Wilkinson established a camp administration major as well as a youth ministry major (OBC) and created the first graduate program in youth ministry in North America at the seminary (OTS). He also served as the VP of Strategic Planning and as the VP and Academic Dean of the University. In 2012, Tyndale awarded Dr. Wilkinson the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity.

He currently serves as the Executive Coach and Strategist of Toronto Youth for Christ (Youth Unlimited) as well as for the Eastern Region of YFC Canada. Prior to these roles, he was the ED of the Toronto Chapter having already served in several executive roles with YFC Canada for several decades.

Dr. Wilkinson is happily married to his wife, Trish, and together they have two sons, Matthew and Mark. Trish and John are blessed by two wonderful daughters-in-law and grandchildren who enrich their lives immeasurably.
