Tyndale is pleased to announce the launch of several new undergraduate and graduate programs that offer students unique opportunities to explore diverse areas of study while integrating Christian perspectives. Starting in September 2023, these programs will equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to navigate complex societal issues, for employability, and to make positive contributions to the communities they serve.
Undergraduate Studies
Ethics and Law
The Ethics and Law minor explores the intersection of faith and the law, preparing students for careers in law, business, politics, and more. Courses such as Canadian Business Law, Critical Reasoning, and Business Ethics provide a foundation in legal principles, critical thinking, and ethical reasoning.
Law Concentration
The Law concentration within the Philosophy program offers a comprehensive exploration of legal principles, critical thinking, and ethical reasoning. Students delve into topics like Canadian Business Law, Symbolic Logic, and Ethics of War, all integrated with a faith perspective. This program is ideal for those aspiring to make ethical and informed decisions in various fields, including law, business, politics, and beyond.
Christian Apologetics
Tyndale’s Christian Apologetics minor is intellectually rigorous and biblically informed. It empowers students to understand, articulate, and argue for the Christian faith in today’s world. Graduates of this program are prepared to engage in apologetics ministries in workplaces, churches, college campuses, and online platforms.
Master of Arts Programs
Children, Youth, & Adult Discipleship
In a world influenced by social media, cultural pressures, and peer influence, the Master of Arts program in Children, Youth & Adult Discipleship equips individuals to guide others on their spiritual journeys. This program explores the theology-philosophy of discipleship and focuses on educational leadership within congregations. Graduates gain a profound understanding of biblical, theological, and educational foundations for learning and discipleship across different age groups.
Historical and Theological Studies
The Master of Arts in Historical and Theological Studies is tailored for individuals seeking to deepen their knowledge and expertise in history and theology. Students engage in advanced research and writing, developing a keen understanding of methodological aspects in these disciplines. The program offers a unique focus on the Canadian context, while also embracing a global and intercultural approach. Graduates may pursue further academic endeavours or apply their expertise in various professional fields.
The launch of these two programs builds upon the success of the previously launched MA programs in Clinical Counselling and Thanatology, which were introduced last March.
Doctor of Ministry Program
Pastoral Thanatology
The Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Thanatology program integrates spiritual development with knowledge and skills to support those experiencing various forms of loss. Pastoral Thanatology explores biblical and spiritual resources for grief and bereavement, equipping students to assist both the dying and the bereaved.
