By Tyndale Communications  /  Wednesday, June 1, 2022

Tyndale University continues to monitor the pandemic and make changes to its COVID-19 processes and policies as needed and appropriate. The following changes take effect as of June 1st.

Isolation Requirements

Tyndale’s isolation requirements for those who have been exposed to COVID-19 have changed and are based on the Province of Ontario’s requirements. Please note the information in the following bullets and links from covid-19.ontario.ca:

Mask-friendly Campus

Tyndale University is moving to a mask-friendly campus. What does this mean?

  • Masks are no longer required in common spaces including classrooms.
  • You may be requested to wear a mask in some settings on campus, such as the Wellness Centre and in some meeting/service spaces, or you may be requested by individuals with COVID-related concerns. Please have a mask available and be prepared to put it on when requested to do so.
  • If you wish to wear a mask in places like common areas and classrooms where masks are not required, you are encouraged and supported in your decision to do so.

Accessing the University

To gain access to the University all employees and students continue to be required to ‘tap-in’ at whichever door they enter, including the main front entrance. The requirement to complete the passive screening form prior to entering campus has been discontinued. If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of illness you should continue to refrain from coming to campus.
