The degree in Global Christianity and Mission is designed to prepare you as a missio​nal leader to engage in cross-cultural ministry locally and globally. This graduate-level training provides a range of applied and academic disciplines suitable for ministry and missions work in diversified world contexts. Our program is geared towards equipping church leaders to engage in holistic ministry in today’s multicultural world.

Intercultural

You will have the opportunity to study in Toronto, one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with direct access to the lives and worship styles of diversified churches that represent over one hundred cultures and languages. You will be trained with the skills necessary to minister in diversified cultures effectively and find solutions to cultural challenges. Our faculty will teach you topics such as cross-cultural communication, urban ministry¸ and the theology of mission.

Globalization

The Master of Divinity in Global Christianity and Mission is one of the most comprehensive and contemporary programs that focuses on globalization and intercultural studies. You will be introduced to the latest studies on the effects of globalization on the life and ministry of the church in courses such as Perspectives on Global Mission and Globalization and the Church. Tyndale goes beyond denominational beliefs by bringing together all evangelical Christians into one community. Our student body represents over 40 different denominations and 30 ethnic groups.

Contemporary

Tyndale is a contemporary, multicultural, and denominationally-diverse Christian community. Our program addresses current global issues such as the relationship between Christianity and Islam, as well as the role of the church in ministering to our twenty first-century postmodern culture in courses such as Christianity and Islam: A Global Perspective and Gospel, Church and Culture. The global experiences of our professors bring significant value to their teaching and research. You will be enriched by their wide knowledge and firsthand experience in global ministries.
