Nearly a thousand guests filled the Tyndale Chapel on November 30 for the 14th annual Christmas in the Chapel, a benefit concert for Tyndale students. For the first time since 2019, a matinee concert was held in addition to the evening event.

Opening the two sold-out concerts of traditional Christmas favourites were the Tyndale Community Choir, the TCC Band and the Tyndale Singers, under the direction of Dr. Melissa Davis.

This year’s featured artist was Laila Biali, a multi award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter, pianist and CBC Music national radio host of Saturday Night Jazz. Fittingly for the occasion, she released her new album, Wintersongs, earlier this month.

More than $90,000 was raised for Tyndale student financial aid thanks to the generous sponsorship of La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, ticket sales, and donations.
