Tyndale University celebrates its racial and ethnic diversity and affirms the manner in which we all bear the image and likeness of our creator God. Our community is stronger when we learn side-by-side and from one another. We recognize that there is still much work to be done regarding racial injustices, and know that justice will exist only when systemic racism is eradicated. This week we witnessed accountability for the murder of George Floyd.
In this moment we acknowledge that many in our community may be experiencing a range of emotions as this may feel like one small accomplishment while so much injustice remains. To our students, faculty and staff for whom this very public reminder of racism may surface a number of memories and emotions, the Tyndale community stands together with you. We commit to being a part of the change that is so desperately needed in society.
