About Miriam Garas
Miriam has a diverse cultural background and extensive experience working with children and youth, during several years of Children and Youth Ministry. She has a warm and empathetic style that allows her clients to feel cared for and understood. She has an interest in working with individuals, couples, and families, and uses EFT and Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her work. Miriam has experience helping people with anxiety, depression, loss and grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, trauma, and spirituality issues. Miriam applies an integrative approach including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. At the client’s request, Miriam is happy to integrate faith and scripture within sessions. Together with her husband, Miriam has three wonderful daughters. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading and traveling with her family.
