Biography
Dr. Moon joined the faculty of Tyndale Seminary in the summer of 2024, having lectured on Romans at the undergraduate level in 2023. His Ph.D. thesis is titled, The Children of Promise: Constructing the Identity of Abraham’s Seed in Romans 9:1-29, and in it, he traces the reception of Romans 9:1-29 from Origen onward and develops a reading of 9:1-29 by examining how Paul uses the Abraham narrative in his letters. In subsequent work, he intends to explore the relation between experience, Scripture, and tradition in Paul’s knowledge.
Dr. Moon arrives at Tyndale with pastoral experience in both Chicago and Toronto, and he is passionate about equipping the next generation of Christian leaders for ministry in an increasingly secular and pluralistic context.
Dr. Moon is teaching a synchronous online course on The General Epistles in the Spring Summer 2025 semester.
