Tyndale University is delighted to announce the following academic promotions, distinctions and appointments:
- Dr. Mark Chapman – promoted to the rank of Full Professor
- Dr. Nancy Ross – promoted to the rank of Full Professor
- Dr. Ken Badley – awarded the academic distinction of Research Professor

Dr. Mark Chapman has served at Tyndale University for 11 years at the Seminary, where he directs the Doctor of Ministry program and also serves as Lead Research Consultant for the Tyndale Intercultural Ministries (TIM) Centre. Beyond the Tyndale community, Dr. Chapman is well known in the Canadian Christian context for his contribution to community-based research projects. Dr. Chapman’s research and mentoring have reshaped the practices of Canadian church leaders and congregations.
Dr. Nancy Ross joined Tyndale University as Associate Professor of Psychology in 2017, and she has chaired the Department of Psychology at Tyndale University since 2018. Dr. Ross regularly publishes in the area of emotional intelligence and implicit bias. Dr. Ross serves as a faculty member on the Tyndale Board of Governors, on Tyndale’s Senate, and as a co-chair of the Undergraduate Studies Faculty Association.
Dr. Ken Badley joined Tyndale’s Bachelor of Education program in 2009. Dr. Badley’s prolific publication record and his expertise in curriculum design and pedagogy have made significant contributions to the Bachelor of Education program and beyond. Dr. Badley will be providing research mentorship to the Bachelor of Education department.
