Biography
Dr. Faught teaches in the areas of British, European, African, and Indian history. Prior to arriving at Tyndale in 2003, he taught mainly at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick and at the Universities of Windsor and Toronto. He is the author of nine books. He has written also a large number of both scholarly and feature articles, one of the latter of which was nominated for a National Magazine Award, as well as many reviews. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Historical Society and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and a Senior Fellow of Massey College in the University of Toronto. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Wycliffe College, Toronto. In 2012, Dr. Faught was awarded The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for services to History. In 2023, he spent six months as a Visiting Scholar at Pembroke College, Cambridge.
