About Margot Kidd
God nurtured Margot’s hunger for Christ, growing up in Montreal, through the Anglican liturgy, and gifted her with faith through the witness of a fellow university student. Following decades of fulfilling Christian service, Margot experienced a humbling burnout on the mission field. Upon returning to Canada, the tender, restoring ways of God’s Spirit in prayer surprised her. While He continued His loving work, Margot met with her first spiritual director and realized how nurturing this form of companionship was. Maybe others desired this experience too. Emerging from a season of healing, she followed Christ’s invitation to do a Master of Theological Studies degree at Tyndale where she completed a practicum in Spiritual Direction in 2012.
Margot offers a prayerful, safe space, to discern God's loving presence, and consider responding freely to Him in the midst of relationships and life. Supporting pastors, missionaries and lay people as they pursue greater intimacy with Christ is a joy to her, and a sacred trust.
Margot has been married to Stephen for over 30 years. They live in Ottawa and have two grown children. She offers one on one and group spiritual direction locally and afar via video calls. In addition, she is available to accompany people who feel led to “make” the extended Ignatian Exercises’ retreat in daily life a part of their journey.
