Jesus said to his closest followers: “I no longer call you servants, instead I have called you friends.” (John 15). This is a friendship that brings vibrancy, purpose, and anticipation to our everyday lives. The journey into that friendship is as unique as you are. Drawing on scripture, prayer, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and appropriate use of spiritual exercises in a relationship of confidentiality and trust, my heart’s desire is to help in making your friendship with God a little more real. My own friendship with God has been deeply enriched through family, 30+ years of denominational ministry, frequent exploits into wilderness environments, and a wealth of training and relationships at Regent College, Wycliffe College, Tyndale Seminary, the Renovaré Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation, and the Jesuit Institute of South Africa. An area of specialty is leading people through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. I’m happy to arrange appointments on weekdays over the internet, or in person in the Waterloo Region or the City of Guelph.
