Dr. Kerr began her term as President and Vice Chancellor of Tyndale University on July 1, 2020.

Tyndale’s rich history is rooted in its ability to meet strategic challenges and societal changes head on. Dr. Kerr is passionate about leading Tyndale in this new and exciting time in its history, strengthening and renewing its mission for the future.

Through Dr. Kerr’s leadership, and in collaboration with the Board of Governors, faculty, staff and students, Tyndale has embarked on a 5-year strategy for advancing its mission and priorities while sustaining the Tyndale culture and experience, all with the focus of moving forward on our shared vision of Tyndale as a flourishing Christian university.

Dr. Kerr holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Waterloo. She is a registered psychologist in Ontario and a seasoned executive coach. Her prior experience includes internal and external consulting and leadership roles focused on the identification and development of organizational talent in the public, private and not-for-profit/NGO sectors. Dr. Kerr’s international experience includes initiatives throughout the United States and Western Europe; opportunities in Eastern Europe, United Arab Emirates and India; and a two-year assignment in the United Kingdom, where she led the consulting practice for an international talent management firm.

Vocationally, Dr. Kerr has extensive experience in lay leadership within her home denomination and other Christian not-for-profit organizations, including strategic planning and facilitation, leadership development, Board governance, and invited conference speaker.

Within Christian higher education, prior to coming to Tyndale, Dr. Kerr served on the Board of Christian Higher Education Canada (CHEC) and for 14 years at Booth University College, first on the Board of Trustees (2001 – 2007), then as Vice President Academic and Dean (2013-2016) and President and Vice Chancellor (2016-2020).
