President of the TUUSA Council - If you are someone who dreams of making a real difference, thrives on leadership, and loves building connections, this could be the role for you! As the President of the TUUSA Council, you’ll lead the charge in shaping the student experience at Tyndale University. This role is about more than meetings and agendas—you’ll be a voice for the student body, a leader and support to the Executive team, and a bridge between students and administration. From casting vision and solving challenges, to advocating for student needs and empowering your peers, you’ll help foster an encouraging and collaborative campus environment.
Community Life Representative for Marketing and Communication - If you are someone who thrives on creativity, loves bringing people together, and has a knack for storytelling through social media, this role was made for you! As the Community Life Representative for Marketing and Communications, you’ll be the heartbeat of student engagement at Tyndale University. Imagine capturing the energy of campus life—snapping photos, filming videos, and crafting posts that make our social media come alive. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping student experiences by supporting House Leaders, advertising events, and sharing the stories that connect us as a community. As the Community Life Representative for Events, you’ll lead the charge in making campus life vibrant and memorable. From brainstorming creative ideas to guiding Event Organizers and rallying volunteers, you’ll be at the centre of planning and executing campus-wide events that bring students together. Community Life Representative for Spiritual Formation - If you are someone who feels inspired to help others grow spiritually, loves creating meaningful spaces for reflection, and thrives in collaborative leadership, this role is for you! As the Community Life Representative for Spiritual Formation, you’ll be at the heart of nurturing faith and community at Tyndale University. From planning and assisting in events and activities like Abide and Sanctuary, engaging with local ministries and churches, to supporting Tyndale’s community chapel services, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the spiritual formation opportunities at Tyndale. Event Organizer - If you are someone who loves bringing people together, has a gift for planning memorable events, and wants to make a lasting impact on campus life, this role is for you! As an Event Organizer, you’ll play a key part in building community at Tyndale University by planning, organizing and executing exciting campus events. You’ll gain hands-on experience in event planning, collaborative teamwork, and leadership while growing in your faith. This position is perfect for a creative, organized, and flexible leader who’s ready to make memories for students.
House Leader - If you are someone who loves building connections, inspiring others, and fostering spiritual growth, becoming a House Leader is the perfect opportunity for you! As an HL, you’ll lead your designated House (Adrian, Boehmer, Harris, McRae, or Stiller) by creating community through events like weekly gatherings, social activities, and House Challenges in collaboration with your fellow House Leader. You’ll be a key influence on the journey of first-year students while being able to support and connect with your peers. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized, and creative individual who wants to grow as a leader while shaping the spiritual and social life of campus.
Resident Advisor - If you are someone who thrives in leadership, isn’t afraid to challenge others to grow, and is passionate about making a difference, becoming a Residence Advisor at Tyndale University is the role for you! Application Process Timeline
Student Leadership Interest Meetings: Tuesday January 21, 2025 at 12 pm and Thursday January 23, 2025 at 5:00 pm
Applications can be received between Wednesday January 8, 2025 to Friday January 31, 2025.
RA candidates Group Interview (required for those invited): Wednesday February 12, 2025 (11:15am till 12:30 pm)
HL candidates Group Interview (required for those invited): Wednesday February 26, 2025 (11:15am till 12:30 pm)
Campaign speeches for President of the TUUSA Council will be held on Monday March 3, 2025 and the election will be held from Tuesday March 4, 2025 to Thursday March 6, 2025 (online through MS Forms)
Full team announced no later than on Friday March 14, 2025
Required student leadership team training for the 2025-2026 team: Thursday April 24 and Friday April 25 (8 am till 5 pm)
Student Leaders for the 2025-2026 term will need to return to campus no later than Sunday August 24, 2025.
Qualifications for Applying

General Qualifications
- A cumulative GPA of 2.3 and current GPA of 2.00. If the student's cumulative GPA is less than 2.3, then the student's previous semester's GPA must be 2.7.
- Good financial standing with Tyndale.
- Good standing with chapel attendance.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student (6+ credit hours). Students who desire to take more than 15 credit hours need to consult with the Dean of Student Life regarding balancing academics and their leadership responsibilities.
- Able to return to campus before fall and winter semesters start for training and/or retreats.
- Able to take initiative and think creatively.
- Desire for personal growth and formation.
- Good role model for students.
- Genuine concern for the development of people and a commitment to Tyndale's mission and vision.
- A wise, thoughtful, and mature person willing to engage the with diversity of the Tyndale community.
- Uphold, adhere, and model the guidelines and policies set out in the Student Handbook and Tyndale University Statement of Faith
- Conflict resolution is beneficial.
- Organization skills are beneficial.
- Previous leadership experience is beneficial.
Qualifications for Specific Positions
- Students running for the President of the TUUSA position need to have served on Tyndale Undergraduate Student Leadership already or have received approval from the Dean of Student Life.
