This week we continue our series on the ancient practices of the Christian faith. The Rev. Dr. Bishop Cliff Fletcher of the Free Methodist Church in Canada reflected on the importance and grace of Sabbath-keeping. Bishop Cliff writes, “God established a creation rhythm that we are designed for – any deviance from the rhythm harms our relationships with God, ourselves, others and the environment. Sabbath is an essential piece of the creation rhythm. Sabbath is to be practiced daily, weekly, annually, and more….”
Bishop Cliff is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary near Boston, and, as he puts it, “most importantly…of Tyndale Seminary with an MDiv.” He and his wife of over 27 years, along with their two children, live in Oshawa.
