Jacob Moon Comes to Tyndale
On Saturday, January 19, singer/songwriter Jacob Moon played an intimate concert for a gathering of staff, students and faculty.
The two hour long set was composed of songs about home, heartache, hope and an ode to his sponsored child. Moon’s smooth voice, paired with his incredible knack for live looping his guitar, made for a memorable night. Along with his originals Moon performed an array of covers ranging from Peter Gabriel to Keane, relating the songs to different events in his own life.
Moon engaged the crowd in between songs with his witty jokes and personal struggles; explaining how God carried him and his wife through hardship, eventually blessing them with two beautiful adopted boys. In an interview Moon explained what he hoped for the evening’s performance. “I hope that my music helps people realize that they are not alone, and awaken a longing for something more.”
Isaac Godwin, a student who attended the concert, proved that Moon was successful in inspiring his audience. Godwin shared, “Jacob Moon is an excellent performer who inspired me and displayed real skill in his musicianship.”
