Tyndale University’s Board of Governors is pleased to announce its appointment of Harriet Thornhill as its 9th Chancellor to a three-year term, effective April 4, 2023.

“On behalf of the Board of Governors and as a proud Tyndale alumnus myself, I am delighted to have Harriet serve in the role of Chancellor,” said Board Chair Ross Clark. “Demonstrated through her extraordinary leadership, Harriet embodies what we hope for students, who will go out and live lives with passion and purpose, engaging societal issues and making an impact in the lives of those around them.”

With 128 years of history, Tyndale’s alumni are doing impressive things around the world and I look forward to furthering the university’s work as Chancellor.”

Tyndale University’s Chancellor is a person of Christian faith and distinction with a record of demonstrated excellence in their chosen field and in service to the community. The Chancellor is an individual whose reputation and experience will assist the President and Chair of the Board of Governors in developing and maintaining strategic relationships for Tyndale University locally, nationally and internationally to enhance the University’s profile, recognition and reputation.
