Strong University Enrolment for Fall 2016
The hallways are buzzing this fall at Tyndale! There are now a total of 600 students enrolled at the university college, including in the Bachelor of Education program, representing a 6.5% growth from last year.
University students kicked off the semester with Frosh Week. Marina Hanna [BA History and Global Studies] says the energy from the first year class is invigorating. “I came to Tyndale expecting a solid foundation of theology integrated into my classes and a supportive atmosphere. What I didn’t expect was how much fun I would have,” says Marina. “The first-year class is loud and enthusiastic.”
Exciting new programs have been launched including the Music and Worship Arts Minor and the Business Administration Co-op. Rouben Manukian [BA Business Administration] is one of the first to participate in the co-op program. “My co-op gave me practical tools and experience and helped me get a better picture of what I might want to do with my career in the future,” he says. “I really feel that the program has opened my eyes to the business world above and beyond what can be taught in the classroom.”
Tyndale’s enrolment numbers are a testament to the strong academic programs, dedicated faculty and staff, as well as the enthusiasm and hard work from Tyndale students. They are continuing to ask big questions and explore ever-fresh ways to live out their faith in their careers which span virtually every profession.
