The entire Tyndale community – students, faculty and staff – have acted with remarkable resilience and tenacity these past months. As we are now in the final weeks of this extraordinary academic year, unsurprisingly, many are wondering what the coming 2021–2022 experience will look like.
Based on current available information, it is our hope that there will be some version of an on-campus experience this fall. Course planning will include preparations for in-person and hybrid formats, and planning has already begun to re-establish a residence program and other co-curricular activities.
All plans will be dependent on public health guidelines. Campus-based courses and student experiences will only be offered when it is safe to do so. When they are available, all necessary health and safety measures will be in place to ensure Tyndale is a safe place to learn. Throughout the process three guiding principles continue to frame decisions; health and safety of students, faculty and staff, academic excellence and the unique Tyndale experience.
There are a variety of issues that will need to be addressed, and plans are being developed. Many will be thrilled by the hope of returning to campus, while this news may make others apprehensive. We appreciate that you will have many questions in the coming weeks and months and commit to providing regular updates as we prepare for a return to on-campus activity.
