Linguistics Internship in Cameroon

This summer Kathryn Van Wyngaarden (BA Linguistics ’18) will complete a Linguistics Internship in Cameroon, Africa. In partnership with Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada and SIL International, Kathryn will assist with documenting and analyzing languages indigenous to the Ndop plain in Northwest Cameroon. This work is foundational for developing standardized writing systems, improving local literacy, and translating the Bible into these languages. Kathryn left for Cameroon mid-May 2017 and will finish her internship in early August. Click here to learn more about Tyndale’s Linguistics program.
