Biography

Dr. Michael Krause has a number of roles at Tyndale. He coordinates all the leadership courses at Tyndale Seminary. He directed the internship program and in 2020, was installed to the position of R. J. Bernardo Family Chair of Leadership. He also coordinates the Leadership Track of the Doctor of Ministry program, and in March, 2024 was appointed the Interim Academic Dean of the Seminary.

He has a broad range of ministerial and leadership experience, primarily in an urban context. He has pastored churches, directed social service agencies, and served educational institutions. He was the director of Evergreen, Yonge Street Mission’s outreach to street-involved youth, supervising 20 staff overseeing a thriving menu of programs. He was the youth pastor at Flemingdon Park Church, the assistant pastor at the Stone Church in downtown Toronto and the senior pastor at Church on the Street, an experimental church reaching out to street youth in the urban core. He also pioneered Hills Church, an innovative house church network based in Thornhill.

Dr. Michael Krause is ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and currently lives in Toronto with his spouse, Brigitte. He has two grown children, both married, and three grandsons who call him Opa.
