Biography
Dr. Gord Oeste is married to Carolyn and has two grown children. Education: Ph.D. University of St. Michael’s College, University of Toronto. Teaching: Professor of Old Testament for 10 years (Heritage Seminary); Gord is an ordained pastor who has served churches in South Dakota, Winnipeg, and Toronto. He is currently the Teaching Pastor at Cedar Creek Community Church in Cambridge, Ontario. Gord has published reviews, articles, and books, including: Legitimacy, Illegitimacy, and the Right to Rule: Windows on Abimelech’s Rise and Demise in Judges 9 (Bloomsbury, 2011): co-authored with William Webb and Bloody, Brutal, and Barbaric?: Wrestling with Troubling War Texts (InterVarsity, 2019).
