Biography

Dr. Duncan Reid is Associate Professor of New Testament at the Seminary. Following a career in physiotherapy, Dr. Reid has been teaching at Tyndale since 2006. He regularly teaches Biblical Greek and New Testament Theology and History. He also teaches courses on the Gospel of Matthew and Encountering Jesus in the Gospels. His research interests include historical Jesus studies and the Gospels with particular interests in the Synoptic Problem and the death of Jesus. His thesis was published as Miracle Tradition, Rhetoric, and the Synoptic Problem in 2016 (Biblical Tools and Studies 25; Peeters). Dr. Reid is passionate about integrating academic scholarship into church life and ministry and has been actively involved in the Rexdale Alliance Church, Toronto, since coming to Canada from England in1990.
