About our training
A 2-day training covering a wide range of topics for pastors and ministry leaders who work with individuals with mental health concerns.
Topics include Mental Health and Mental Illness, Self-Care, Understanding Psychotherapy, Barriers to Psychotherapy, Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, and Collaborating with Tyndale Wellness Centre.
Option 1:
Part 1: Saturday, Feb 22, 9am-3pm (EDT/Toronto Time)
Part 2: Saturday, Mar 1, 9am-3pm (EDT/Toronto Time)
*Participants are encouraged to attend both days as sessions are related. Certificate of attendance will be provided for individuals who attend both days. Registration closes on Thursday, Feb 20.

Our Presenters
Wilma Nevers
Wilma is the Director at Tyndale Wellness Centre, a Registered Psychotherapist, and also holds credentials with American and Canadian Associations in Marriage & Family Therapy. Wilma has a life-long passion for the wellbeing of the Church. This has led her to the training of Christian ministry leaders to support their members who have mental health concerns and refer them to psychotherapy where needed. Her calling and involvement in leadership in both secular and Christian organizations encouraged her to complete a DMin in Leadership, which has strengthened her skills and resolve to support Church leaders in caring for the body of Christ.
Bassma Younan
Bassma Younan is the Assistant Director of Tyndale Wellness Centre at Tyndale University, a Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor Mentor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Certified Couple & Family Therapist with Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (OAMFT), and Registered Marriage & Family Therapist and Approved Supervisor Mentor with Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT).
Bassma is passionate about empowering individuals to live out their calling with the knowledge of who they are and the potential they have to fulfill their calling. She takes great pleasure in journeying with individuals, couples and families facing life’s challenges, fostering a sense of hope, fulfillment and personal growth.
