Tyndale Wellness Centre's professional development webinars for psychotherapists include a comprehensive lineup of topics. These webinars will be conveniently held during the noon hour, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM EST, between September 2024 and March 2025.

The webinars cover a wide range of topics including therapeutic modalities, and legal and ethical issues, while also focusing on the cultivation and enrichment of therapists' self-awareness.

Webinar Description

This presentation will open a discussion around being culturally sensitive in working with clients.  It includes going over terminology, understanding social location, and the therapists' role in dismantling systemic racism.

Melissa Johari has been in Social Work since 2004, started her private practice in 2012, and worked with Tyndale Wellness Centre for five years, starting in 2019. She specializes in couples and has additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Prep-Enrich, SYMBIS, and the Gottman Method. She is a Gottman “7 Principles for Making Marriage Work” Leader and has a 7 Principles retreat.
