Scott Mission Camp

Scott Mission Camp serves children and youth from low-income families across the GTA. We value offering a high-quality camp experience, building strong mentorship relationships, prayer, and ultimately sharing the gospel and love of Christ with our campers.

As a staff member, it is important that you have a vibrant relationship with God and a love of the scriptures. You also must enjoy working with children and have a heart for mentorship and discipleship. We value servant-hearted leadership, strong problem-solving skills, creativity, enthusiasm and strong work ethic. Camp is an amazing place to work, but it can also be a bit of a marathon, so you will need self-awareness and perseverance to pace yourself through the summer. If you are open to growth and learning, this might be the place for you! You will be working with a team at SMC, so it is vital that you enjoy building community and working alongside others. We also value encouragement and strong listening skills. Finally, camp is a place that offers an amazing opportunity for you to bring your skills and expand them.

If you have skills in teaching or coaching, if you are a lifeguard, if you enjoy rock climbing or high ropes courses, or if you love coming up with skits and games, we would love to help you sharpen those skills! We offer free trainings for high ropes leadership, lifeguarding, and there are many opportunities to teach and lead activities and Bible lessons (and many of these opportunities offer additional pay).

Overall, SMC is a place of service and of working to share the love and truth of God with our campers. We do this formally through Bible lessons and cabin devotions, but also informally through conversations, mentorship and modelling Christlike behaviour in the way we live our lives.
