The library policy allows a maximum of two renewals per item as long as another person has not requested for the item. After the two renewals, the item must be returned to the library.
Step 1: In the internet address field enter cat.tyndale.ca
Step 2: You will now see the OnTRAC screen. Click on the My Account link.
Step 3: Enter your barcode number (the number located under the barcode on your student or membership card) and your last name in the spaces provided, then click on Login.
Step 4: Your information will now appear. To renew your items, click on the small white box beside each title so that a checkmark appears, and click on Renew Items. If you are renewing more than one item, make sure you place a checkmark beside each of the titles you wish to renew. Selecting only the first and last titles will NOT enable you to renew a whole list of items.
Step 5: Your new due date will appear on the right hand side in the new Renewal Status column. Make sure you scroll to the right to view your renewal status and new due date.
WHEN RENEWING DOES NOT WORK:
You will know that the renewal did not take place if instead of a new due date, the computer says Not Renewed in the Renewal Status column. There are a few possible reasons why this may have happened:
You must return the book to the library by the due date.
2. You have total library fines reaching or exceeding $15.
Borrowing privileges will be withheld if the total fines reach or exceed $15. You will have to come to the library and pay at least part of the fine to keep the total fine below $15 before you will be allowed to borrow or renew.
This happens at the end of each term if you are a student (Jan. 31, May 31, Sept. 30). Inform the Library when you have registered for a new term, and have your records updated at the circulation desk in the library.
If you are a member, your membership may have already expired, return the book(s) to the library by the due date. You may also choose to renew your membership at the library and then renew your books.
Note: It is the responsibility of the students/members to ensure that their renewals are done properly. If you have printer access, it is highly advisable that you do a print screen of your record of renewal(s) for use as proof if discrepancies with our library records occur at a later date. Overdue fines will incur if renewals are not done properly.
