Student Life

Student Life

At Tyndale, we affirm that men and women are equipped for Christian service by their personal holiness, spiritual giftedness, academic competence and ministry skills. This means that personal qualities are as important as gaining knowledge and mastering specific ministry skills. Effective ministry requires an intentional focus on building Christian character.

The focus of student life is not just to create community but rather to help mature each student within the community.

Since community life has a significant bearing on character development, it is important to be involved at Tyndale beyond the classroom setting. The focus of student life is not just to create community but rather to help mature each student within the community. It is our goal to foster a quality of life that will stimulate each student to develop intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. As Luke 2:52 says, "and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man."

Community counters individualism and isolation and fosters mutual accountability (Matt. 18:15-17), support and encouragement when students struggle with issues. Personal development and growth thrives when individuals commit to community. Student Life expects each student to have some level of ongoing community involvement and responsibility at Tyndale.
