Math

Overview

Begin your university studies in Mathematics at Tyndale. In your first two years you will establish a solid foundation, taking a range of courses in calculus, algebra, probability and discrete mathematics . These courses are offered in the midst of Tyndale’s dynamic, vibrant community of faith and learning. You will then transfer to Nipissing University for two more years of study to complete your BSc in Math.

Mathematics and Christian Faith

“It seems like everywhere we look in the universe we find math, and not just any old math. It’s subtle and beautiful, but if we work at it we can understand it.” (“Kristoff,” in Mathematics Through the Eyes of Faith). If these words whet your appetite to know more about how mathematics might be part of your calling as a person of faith, then Tyndale's math program is for you. Mathematics is a discipline of thought, a set of tools by which to measure, model and understand aspects of the created universe, its laws and relationships. We need those who are gifted in these areas of thought to help the rest of us appreciate the intricate order and design of our world.

Begin with Mathematics

A Math degree is useful in a variety of professional disciplines such as business, social science, engineering, computing and the natural sciences. Your courses will teach you how to use mathematical tools to solve problems, to explore the gifts of logical and scientific creativity within you, and to discover the place of mathematics within a coherent Christian worldview.
